The Tweens and Teens Project

During the year KYN-onia welcomes local children, during school breaks and on the weekends to come and volunteer their time, caring for the animals.  Adolescents help in the cleaning, feeding, socializing and advertising of the animals.  The shelter is a nice option (during the summer months) for the children to spend some time freely socializing with the animals, the international staff and other adolescents.  This also promotes the gratitude associated with volunteering for the better of the community at a young, impressionable age.
